Huge Sendoff

A large(ish) crowd gathered to send off the intrepid Shipston team. Doug Harris, President and David Squire, Treasurer of DASH were in attendance to give the faithful jallopy a push. In actual fact the first drive to Staples Corner takes place tomorrow for a photo call at 10am tomorrow (Friday)

The final hotel reservation was completed 15 minutes ago and as far as we can tell we are now fully(?) prepared and booked on the 3pm ferry to Calais tomorrow. The weather is predicted to be very windy so that may be an interesting crossing.

Total fundraising to date is over £1,000 and we are hoping for another £500.

Organisation of the rally is plainly under a bit of stress shall we say. The information flow is a bit thin but luckily there is a very active forum with much information and hints (as well as a lot of cobblers of course) . Day one will be interesting (they call it day zero but there we are.
